The Butterfly Effect review

Posted : 2 years, 4 months ago on 9 July 2007 10:44 (A review of The Butterfly Effect)

I agree with Sean in that this is an amazing movie.

Every action has a reaction, but you never know what the reaction will be until the action has taken place. But what if you don't like the reaction? What if you could rewind make a different action to cause a different reaction?

When it comes to the lives of your friends, your family and even yourself, wouldn't you want to keep rewinding in order for everything to play out right?

As you are watching this movie, many parts of it won't make sense. However as it plays out in it's entirety everything drops into place.

A must see!

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer review

Posted : 2 years, 5 months ago on 23 June 2007 03:14 (A review of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer)

This film is basically your average superheros fight bad guy, what you more or less expect from marvel. With a re-entrance from Victor and the appearance of The Silver Surfer, the four superheros had their hands full whilst trying to do the normal things in life, which for Sue and Reed included getting married.

To sum the movie up, I wouldn't exactly say that it was action packed, but if you are a fan of the marvel type movie, you'll probably enjoy it nevertheless.

The Hidden Blade review

Posted : 2 years, 5 months ago on 15 June 2007 04:07 (A review of The Hidden Blade)

When hiring this film I hadn't realised that it was subtitled, but after 10 minutes or so adjusting it was easy to get into.

Set in Japan, the movie follows a Samurai's life, dealing with the introduction of western weapons, forbidden love and the struggle to kill one of his good friends when he is ordered to.

This is a movie about honour, love and friendship and the risks one man will take for all three. If you can deal with the subtitles, its definitely worth a look.

Eight Below review

Posted : 2 years, 5 months ago on 15 June 2007 03:42 (A review of Eight Below)

Based on real events, this is the story of a man that has no other choice but to leave his 8 husky team in the Antarctic during the winter.

The plan was to go back for them but due to severe weather conditions no one would take him back to pick up the dogs. Chained up outside, the dogs not only have to break free, but also find food and brave the worst winter for 25 years on their own.

It's an enjoyable movie, but for all the animal lovers out there, be prepared to cry yourself through a box of tissues! ;))
